Honestly if I was George, I would've done the same thing. Georgie grew a lot in the show but the one thing that stuck with him the most was that he had too much pride. His attitude was so terrible because of that pride. His dad was actually proud of him and trying to tell him that and all he did was shrug it off. Georgie had no respect for anyone but also wanted to be respected. I get that he wanted to help his family out but there's a respectful way to do it and that wasn't the way.
